SFI certification isn't a marketing label — it's a tested, independently verified safety standard. Every product in this category carries an SFI rating from the SFI Foundation, which means it has been tested against specific thermal performance requirements before being approved for sale.
If your sanctioning body — NHRA, IHRA, NASCAR, ASN Canada, or a regional oval or drag racing series — requires SFI-rated gear, this is where you start.
Understanding SFI Ratings
The SFI spec number tells you exactly what the product has been tested to. For racing suits:
- SFI 3.2A/1 — Single-layer construction. Minimum protection level for most entry classes.
- SFI 3.2A/5 — Two-layer Nomex construction. The most common rating for road racing, oval, and competitive sportsman classes.
- SFI 3.2A/15 — Multi-layer, high protection. Required for blown-fuel, alcohol, and professional drag racing classes.
- SFI 3.2A/20 — Highest level for top fuel and funny car drivers.
For gloves, shoes, and undergarments, the SFI 3.3 rating covers fire-resistant products that complement your suit and help build a complete protection system.
All Products Are Fully Custom
Nothing in this category is off-the-shelf. You choose your certification level, then we build a suit — or gloves, or shoes — that's made to your measurements and your design. Colour, graphics, sponsor logos, name embroidery — it's all part of the process.
