Choosing the right karting suit? Asphalt karting suits are designed primarily for abrasion resistance, helping protect the driver in the event of contact with the racing surface. This is different from auto-racing suits, which are designed primarily for protection against fire and heat.
EPIC offers both FIA 8877-2022 Grade 1 certified karting suits and club-level karting suits, giving drivers options based on the requirements of their track, series or sanctioning body. As drivers progress through karting — and, for some, eventually into auto racing — the required safety equipment and certifications change with the type and level of competition.
